Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The walls of my home used to feel like a refuge. Now they smother, a constant indication of my limited freedom. Days bleed together, marked only by the click of the watch and the heavy weight in my chest. Every sound from outside is a painful echo of what I miss.
I drift through these confined rooms, searching for some spark of escape. The rays that once fell across my floor now seem cold, and the quiet is heavy.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a blur of its former self. We are now stuck within the walls of our homes, forced to adapt to a new reality. The days blend, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, streaming media, and eating. We yearn for the simple activities that were once assumed for granted: a stroll in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a chat without a screen separating us. home arrest
This new existence has forced challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more compassionate, more creative, and more thankful for the simple things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are coming.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a difficult reality. Every day, you face restrictions that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just that symbolic distance of six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels insurmountable. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. Every sunrise serves as a reminder that you're confined.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Chains of Liberty
The allure with freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can too lead to restriction. This manifests when the very notion of freedom becomes perverted, transforming into a mechanism for control and oppression.
Authentic freedom demands not only the absence for external constraints but also the nurturing of internal spirit. When this inner base is lacking, even within a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the boundaries of their own thoughts.
Consequently, the true measure of freedom lies in our ability to transcend the obstacles that restrict our potential, both externally and internally.
